Desiree Perez Looks Towards Roc Nation’s Future

There may be some changes in store for Jay Z’s groundbreaking recorded-music business, Roc Nation. In 2008, the rapper had signed a $150 million deal with Live Nation for 10 years. That deal will be coming to an end next year and while Live Nation wishes to continue its touring deal with Jay Z, it will be pulling out of the recorded-music portion of Roc Nation. Roc Nation’s top executive, Desiree Perez is already planning for the future of Roc Nation in 2018. She recently met with the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group, which has led fans to believe UMG will be buying a stake of Roc Nation.
