Nurses Training
Health Carousel Philippines facilitated the one-day training for 40 members of the faculty staff and six deans at 11 institutions in the Philippines. The training includes three prominent speakers in the nursing profession. Collectively, this free event featured over 270 hours of nursing training. The instructors addressed primarily two concepts.
Constructivist Learning Method
The speakers provided explanations of the relevance of constructivism as a learning method and provided guidelines for its development. They also emphasized the importance of engaging students long-term with the methodology.
Focus on Simulations
The speakers urged nurses to integrate simulations into their curriculums. Their goal is to enable students to understand nursing through these real-life challenges better. Some of the simulations include the following:
