Alliance Defending Freedom Focuses On Protecting Many Marginal Religious Beliefs
Today, religious freedom ensures that everyone has the right to go out and live out one’s religious beliefs in public, besides Church or other religions. Religious freedom is profound in human pride and the constitutional principle that government should have a low power over its residents. However, there is no guarantee of political influence to make it work.
The Alliance Defending Freedom in the United States focuses on protecting certain minor religious beliefs. The government has passed certain areas that disrupt the primary ideas of Islamic, Jewish, and Christian faiths.
The Alliance Defending Freedom believes that there is unification of marriage that should be between a man and a woman, and that God created man and woman for that purpose. Alliance hopes that the Supreme Court understands it, and it will be established while being protected at the same time. Alliance Defending Freedom wants people who share these beliefs to contribute to the public without the government ruining and penalizing anyone for their views on these situations.
One example was Arlene’s Flowers Case. It was a situation that affected Barronelle Stutzman, a floral artist. Barronelle was penalized by the government. The government did not like that she designed custom floral arrangements for a same-sex wedding.
Although everyone has different views on their beliefs, values are often met in these situations. Still, each person should decide what they want others to know through their messages, while reminding others that the government should never settle alone.
The Alliance’s battle in the Supreme Court helped protect a win in “Masterpiece Cakeshop Case”. This win secures the free exercise right of every American to work and live by what they believe in without the government intervening.
The Alliance Defending Freedom successfully played many roles in over seventy Supreme Court wins. Over the last ten years, Alliance has spoken for many organizations at the Supreme Court that they won for churches, pastors, and many other religious groups.
