Dr. David Parrott from Florida to Texas to Michigan and Kentucky

Dr. David Parrott is an outstanding administrator with extensive experience in higher education’s legal and compliance departments. Threat assessment and disaster response are only two of the many areas in which he has extensive experience.

During his time at UF, Dr. David Parrott earned a Bachelor’s degree In business Planning, a Teacher Certification in Business Studies, and a Master of Arts in Counseling Education with a focus on College Student Personnel. These degrees laid the groundwork for his successful professional career. A doctorate in educational psychologist and university student personnel followed, this time from the University of Louisville. It published in the volume 55 issue 7 of the Dissertation Abstracts International, titled “The Effects of Inter-Racial Interaction on Racial Identity Development”.

For more than two decades, Dr. David Parrott taught at UF levels at a number of colleges and universities. In addition to his work with the Association for Student Conduct Administrators, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in higher education administration at four different schools (ASCA). ASCA’s first president and director at large, Dr. Parrott has been a longtime member of the organization. He also served as the chair of the ASCA Raymond H. Goldstone Foundation, which was responsible for raising funds for UF. The Donald D. Gehring Award for persistent extraordinary contribution in the field of student conduct administration was given to Dr. Parrott by the ASCA in recognition of his outstanding service.

University of Louisville’s Title IX and ADA Coordinator is Dr. David Parrott. Title IX compliance on campus and throughout the educational system is a major priority of this job, with a special emphasis on the development of joint policy on gender equality in college athletics and throughout the educational system. His other duties include ensuring that the American with Disabilities Act is strictly followed by the University of Louisville. Dr. Parrott received a Student Affairs Award of Excellence from the University of Louisville in recognition of his accomplishments.

He is a sought-after consultant as well as a frequent public lecturer on Title IX and ADA matters outside the University of Louisville. He is also well-known for his contributions to the debate over the First Amendment and free expression.
