Mr. Kelcy Warren is an American businessman who has a net worth of $5.2 billion as president and CEO of Energy Transfer Partners, L.P., one of the world’s largest pipeline companies with 98 percent direct to indirect ownership interests in ETP, L.P., 10 percent interest in Kinder Morgan Canada Inc., and 100% ownership stake in Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. He was the largest shareholder of Energy Transfer Equity L.P., which was sold to Noble Energy.

Since May 2014, Mr. Warren has also been a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. In 2015 he received an honorary doctorate from the Harvard Business School. Forbes listed him as #461 on the 2016 list of The World’s Billionaires, with a net worth estimated at $5.2 billion as of March 31, 2016.

The Warrens own interests in Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P., Kinder Morgan Canada Inc., and Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. He is the former Chairman and CEO of Sunoco Logistics Partners.

Kelcy Warren is the founder and president of Energy Transfer Partners, where he has worked since 1995. His job got his start as an oil and gas operating engineer. While working as an operating engineer, Kelcy learned how to run the equipment that moves crude oil through pipelines. He later became a logistics coordinator, meaning he would work with different customer orders and ensure they were filled efficiently.

Finally, Kelcy Warren became a general manager of operations in 2000. After years of hard work and climbing the corporate ladder, Kelcy was promoted to president in 2002 and board chairman in 2003. In 2003, Energy Transfer Partners was sold to Sunoco Inc.

In 2006 Kelcy Warren acquired Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (NYSE: ETE), a publicly held master limited partnership that is the parent company of Energy Transfer Partners, which he currently controls with other investors.
