Taking the Initiative: Colcom Foundation

Some people were ahead of the curve when it comes to conservation of the planet on many levels for future generations. Cordelia May knew she wanted to do something, and she was able to create the Colcom Foundation in 1952. This was a young woman who had taken the initiative when it came to protecting the planet and trying to stop overpopulation.

Things have to be used in a responsible way so the kids and grandkids have something to take care of, and hold on to. The organization had started small, but Colcom Foundation is making a big difference when it comes to getting the word out on these specific subjects.

This was an organization that began in Pennsylvania, and started from the ground up. It had worked hard with local governments in many state counties, and small cities. Now it has been able to grow to work on many different levels. State governments and the federal government have also stepped up to the plate when it comes to overpopulation and the effects on the environment at large. The Colcom Foundation wants to do all it can to make sure that biodiversity and other ecological systems are intact for years to come.

The Colcom Foundation wants to help other small groups get the word out to others when it comes to conservation. It takes part in many efforts to help people understand the world is a fragile place. If we do not care of it, it will not take care of us. It is something that groups have to be willing to watch for in the years and decades to come. This was the goal of Cordelia May. She had a vision for this foundation and it is coming to fruition. It is now up to us to keep it going. Visit this page for related information.
