Education background

Doug HaynesDoug Haynes graduated from the University of West Virginia with a degree in mechanical engineering and was also a Sherrmet scholar at the Darden graduate school of business. After graduating and within his first few years, Doug developed a sturdy interest in the business industry. He has also worked as a software developer for the central intelligence agency, as a design engineer, and as a marketing specialist before joining Mckinsey in 1992. While working at McKinsey, he played a huge role in building the firm’s practices, especially in basic materials, tasks, and high tech.

Career

After 22 years with the company, he oversaw the Northeast Region and left. Before this, Haynes was the CEO of Point72 Capital Management. During his four years in office, the company outperformed its peers’ rivals, the founder’s SEC license was reinstated, the firm’s venture capital arm was established, and the biggest single round of capital raising in the sector at the time occurred. Serving the special requirements of Enterprise Leaders, Doug is currently the President of the Council and Managing Partner at Council Advisors.

Doug Haynes is known for being very active when it comes to fighting poverty, providing any form of support to veterans, and education. The Cohen Veteran’s Network and Cohen Veteran’s Bioscience organizations count him as a founding board member. Currently, Doug is the Cohen Veteran’s Bioscience’s Board Advisor. He serves on the boards of Camp Southern Ground in Georgia and the Robin Hood Organization in New York. In addition, Doug served on the founding board of The Center for Global Enterprise, a non-profit organization devoted to advancing the effective management of multinational corporations.

Personal life

Doug Haynes lives with his family in Scarborough, New York, where his wife is known to be the founder of the TX rehabilitation center and functional mobility. Laurice, who is the wife to Doug, is also known as the fountain Inn bed and breakfast owner and a board member of rising star equine rescue. Both Doug and his wife are parents of five adult children.
